Quick checks before you visit
These safe checks solve some problems and help us diagnose the rest:
- Check that the charger light or the laptop charging light comes on. Try another wall socket.
- Unplug USB drives, printers and other accessories, then try again.
- Disconnect the charger, hold the power button for about 30 seconds, then reconnect and start.
- If the laptop starts but the screen is black, try an external monitor through HDMI.
If none of this works, do not keep pressing the power button or open the laptop yourself. Bring it in and we will find the real fault.
